Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and drive enterprise solutions across Windows, Azure, and AWS environments. You will translate complex business and technical requirements into secure, scalable architecture across on-prem and cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes Zero Trust, identity management, and secure data flows, with close collaboration across IT, DevOps, engineering, and mission teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university
• 4+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security architecture
• 3+ years designing enterprise, cloud, or engineering system security architecture
• Strong technical background across identity, networking, cloud platforms, endpoint security, and system architecture
• Practical experience with NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 7012, ISO 27001, and regulated-data environments
• Ability to translate requirements into clear architecture and communicate the rationale behind decisions
• Proven ability to collaborate across IT, engineering, manufacturing, DevOps, GTC, and Legal
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Interpret and communicate cybersecurity and contractual requirements and convert them into actionable architecture.
• Design secure architectures across Azure, GCC-H, AWS, SaaS, hybrid environments, identity systems, and manufacturing/engineering workflows.
• Develop architectural patterns for identity & access management, Zero Trust segmentation, endpoint protection, logging/monitoring, encryption/KMS, secure data flows.
• Conduct risk-based architectural analysis and present balanced security options to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Review new systems, applications, integrations, and cloud services to ensure secure design and architectural fit.
• Partner with IT/Infrastructure to align security with enterprise platforms and collaborate with DevOps/Engineering for secure development.
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly and build consensus across diverse teams.
