Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design secure cloud architectures across enterprise platforms, primarily in Microsoft Azure. You will partner with architecture, cybersecurity engineering, and business stakeholders to embed security-by-design in cloud initiatives and ensure risk-informed decision-making.

You will lead security architecture assessments, guide IAM and data protection, and support secure DevSecOps practices while staying current on evolving cloud security capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud security architecture, with hands-on Azure expertise.
• Background in information security, architecture, or IT risk management in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, cryptography, authn/authz, network security, logging and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve secure cloud architectures across Azure and other platforms.
• Perform security reviews for cloud initiatives and third-party integrations.
• Provide guidance on identity, access management, and platform security controls.
• Contribute to secure CI/CD and DevSecOps guardrails with engineering teams.
• Translate standards into practical architecture guidance and drive remediation.
