Job summary

BBVA USA in New York is seeking an Analyst for Client Strategy & Profitability to support transaction reviews, profitability monitoring and management reporting within BBVA's US Corporate & Investment Banking group.

You will collaborate with US and global teams to prepare materials for NBC, analyze profitability metrics, capital deployment and return on capital, and help maintain reporting dashboards and governance processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Internship or initial professional exposure to banking or financial analysis preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; data visualization is a plus.
Fluent English; Spanish is a plus for coordination with global teams.

Responsibilities

Support the US New Business Committee (NBC) process by preparing transaction materials and tracking information.
Perform preliminary reviews of transaction proposals, including profitability metrics and capital considerations.
Assist Coverage and Product teams with the client admission process and internal profitability tools.
Monitor client profitability using internal metrics and identify trends.
Prepare inputs for capital optimization initiatives and return on capital analysis.
Support governance, meeting materials, minutes, and transaction logs.
