Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consultant, Process Safety Management based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will lead safety consulting across tech, energy, and manufacturing sectors, shaping programs, guiding clients, and delivering practical solutions with a team of safety professionals.

You'll build risk-based programs, strengthen safety culture, and manage projects with stakeholders. Travel is required; sponsorship not available. This role offers growth within a global sustainability consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years (4+ preferred) working with clients in technology, manufacturing, or R&D.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, state and local safety rules.
• Experience with practical implementation of HS focus areas listed above.
• Strong written and verbal communication across organizational levels.
• Driver's license required; willingness to travel; not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Take assignments at client sites to help solve H&S challenges.
• Assist in developing solutions to technical and regulatory issues.
• Engage with local regulators on building code, fire code, and permits.
• Enable clients to achieve business objectives through H&S strategies.
• Navigate client relationships while protecting confidential information.
• Implement H&S programs in industrial hygiene, behavior-based safety, and risk management.
• Support identifying programmatic needs amid competing priorities.
• Manage tasks to meet scope, budget, and schedule; exceed expectations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver on commitments.
