Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Consultant, Health & Safety to guide organizations in advancing safety performance, strengthen culture, and lead teams across technology, biotech, manufacturing, energy and chemical sectors.

You will design and deliver innovative health and safety programs, coach clients and staff, mentor project teams, and help grow ERM’s Health & Safety practice in the Northeastern US, with regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of health and safety consulting or industry experience.
• Strong understanding of US federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (up to 50-70%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety strategies across risk assessment and safety management systems.
• Lead audits, assessments, and program improvements across safety disciplines.
• Identify compliance gaps and implement practical, sustainable corrective actions.
• Analyze field data to evaluate conditions and recommend effective solutions.
• Deliver training, field coaching, and targeted assessments to support improved safety performance.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing within ERM.
