Job summary

Latham & Watkins in the United States seeks a Manager – Client Events to lead end-to-end planning and delivery of client-facing events, seminars, conferences, sponsorships, and hospitality experiences. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution across multiple markets in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• An events qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a strategic advisor to partners and senior stakeholders on event strategy, format, audience targeting, and execution.
• Partnering with Business Development colleagues to understand strategic objectives and curate event strategies that align with those goals.
• Providing senior‑level oversight of event logistics and execution during the planning process and on‑site, proactively identifying and resolving risks or issues.
• Leading event budgeting and financial oversight, including budget development, spend tracking, vendor negotiations, and post‑event ROI reporting.
• Partnering with Business Development, Brand & Communications, and other internal teams to ensure consistent branding and integrated communications.
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information.
