Job summary

Richland County seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to lead the information security program across IT operations, infrastructure, and data protection. You will develop and enforce security standards, policies, and guidelines for diverse platforms including web, client/server, AS/400, mobile, and cloud.

You will interact with RCIT divisions, department heads, HR, Legal, Finance, and external auditors to ensure risk is managed and compliance is maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Significant experience in information security leadership and program management.
• Professional certifications preferred (see certifications section)
• Experience in public sector or government environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security standards and policies.
• Oversee security operations across multiple platforms and environments.
