The City of Aspen invites applications for the role of Chief Information Officer. Reporting to the Administrative Services Director, the CIO will oversee cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, applications, Aspen Community Broadband, and audiovisual services, guiding the technology roadmap and transforming IT into a strategic partner for the City.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, public or business administration, or related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible enterprise technology experience, including at least three years leading staff, budgets, vendors, operations, and major technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated success establishing technology strategy or governance, improving service delivery, and leading organizational change.
• Experience with or understanding of governmental budgeting, procurement, records, accessibility, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Provide enterprise leadership for cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, applications, Aspen Community Broadband, and audiovisual services.
• Lead implementation of the City’s technology roadmap and shift IT from support-focused to a strategic, customer-focused partner.
• Collaborate with City Departments to strategically incorporate technology into organizational priorities.
