Job summary

Steele County Human Services in Owatonna, MN seeks a Child & Family Services Program Supervisor to lead and develop the child and family services programs. You will supervise staff, coordinate services, and contribute to budget planning and performance improvements.

Under general supervision, you will recruit, train, and evaluate staff; oversee case management activities; collaborate with partners; and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining a service-oriented culture and measurable

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required for minimum qualifications.
• Three to five years of child and family services, county or state human services experience.
• One year of experience in a lead, supervisory or management capacity.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; two to five years in a lead supervisory role in county or state human services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel functions: recruiting, training and performance management.
• Plan, oversee and direct work in program areas.
• Conduct staff meetings, trainings and orientations.
• Support healthy work culture and continuous staff improvement.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures and financial requests for clients.

Education

Associate’s Degree in behavioral or social sciences, business administration, nursing, social work, public administration or closely related field.
