Job summary

Steele County is seeking a Child and Family Services Program Supervisor to oversee staff and programs within the Child & Family Services division in Minnesota. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating services and strategic plans to ensure quality outcomes for children and families.

The supervisor will recruit, train and develop staff, support a healthy work culture, and assist with the department’s budget.

Qualifications

Three to five years of child and family services experience.
One year in lead, supervisory or management capacity.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Supervise child and family services programs and staff.
Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating programs and strategic plans.
Develops and maintains a service-oriented approach and supports quality initiatives.
Recruit, train and develop staff; promote a healthy work culture.
Assist in the child and family services budget and related tasks.
Oversee programs including child protection, welfare, out of home placements, truancy, adoption and foster care, mental health, chemical dependency, home and community based waiver services, long term care assessments, case management and licensing.
