Job summary

Abode Money is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO on high-impact issues. You will lead hard problems, stand up new initiatives, and own finance operations, budgeting, and KPIs.

You’ll interact with in-house and outside counsel on regulatory matters and help craft decision-ready analyses for board discussions. You’ll be responsible for turning research into actionable plans, tracking performance, and delivering concise, data-driven recommendations across multiple initiatives

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, banking, or a similar analytical seat with startup operating exposure.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, able to build and own a model, a budget, and a KPI pack.
• Based in Austin and able to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Solve hard problems: take the unowned question, research, and return a plan.
• Stand up new initiatives and run them to real, owned outcomes.
• Own finance operations: manage outsourced controller, budgeting, monthly close.
• Track KPIs and flag variances before surprises.
• Manage legal and regulatory work with counsel.
• Work directly with the CEO and prepare board/investor material.
• Turn research into decision-ready documents.
