Job summary
Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) to oversee nursing programs and services for the State Hospital within the SH. The CNE leads system design to evaluate and improve patient care quality, advises on complex cases, and directs daily operations with nursing staff under minimal supervision from the Superintendent.

- Knowledge of state and federal nursing regulations and hospital policies.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving quality improvement.
- Strong clinical leadership and strategic planning abilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct nursing programs and services across the State Hospital.
- Lead in system design to improve patient care quality and safety.
- Supervise nursing staff and manage resource allocation.
- Develop and oversee care delivery models aligned with organizational goals.
- Participate in disaster response and COOP planning as needed.
