Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) to set the long-term vision for nursing practice across all enterprise care settings. This executive leads system-wide standards, quality outcomes, and workforce models, partnering with clinical and operational leaders to advance integrated care and elevate patient experience.

The CNE reports to the COO and chairs the Chief Nurse Council, driving professional standards, workforce development, and regulatory readiness across the system.

Qualifications

• 8 years of substantive leadership experience in a complex and high-performing academic medical center or similarly complex organization required.
• Licensed as a professional nurse in MA.
• Doctorate in Nursing, PhD or equivalent doctoral degree required.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization / environment required.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams.
