Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team. The CFO will provide strategic financial, budgeting, and acquisition leadership for a $4B annual budget and will oversee the Financial Services organization, including accounting, treasury, and procurement.

Qualifications

• Leadership and strategic direction experience for large organizations.
• Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and capital management.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial, budget, accounting, treasury, disbursement and acquisition strategy for LLNL’s enterprise.
• Serve as Treasurer of LLNS, LLC with responsibility for financial reporting and governance.
• Partner with Laboratory Director to develop and implement institutional strategy.
• Modernize financial systems, data quality, and automation of workflows.
• Oversee procurement strategy and compliance with applicable federal policies.
