Job summary

WidePoint Corporation seeks a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to partner with the CEO and lead all financial functions, including planning, budgeting, treasury, and reporting. The CFO will supervise staff, oversee accounting, and support operations as needed.

Responsibilities include strategic input on growth, acquisitions, capital strategy, and ensuring SOX and SEC reporting compliance. The role works with the Board and executive team to maximize profitability and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; MBA and CPA are highly desirable.
• CFO experience in a publicly traded company is highly desirable.
• Big 4 public accounting background is desirable.
• Strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge and SOX compliance experience.
• Experience leading a finance organization with strategic focus on growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CEO and senior leadership to drive strategic financial planning and forecasting.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting.
• Lead external audits, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team.
• Evaluate acquisitions, mergers, and investment opportunities.
