Job summary

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the Executive Leadership Team.

The CFO will provide financial leadership to strengthen the association's long-term health, sustainability, and growth across multiple sites. Responsibilities include leading accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax compliance, while partnering with the CEO and Board to advance the YMCA's mission and strategic plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
10+ years of financial leadership, including 7+ years leading teams.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audits.
CPA strongly preferred.
Experience with multi-site nonprofits and grant accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team with financial analysis and forecasting.
Develop and execute financial strategies aligning with the YMCA's plan and capital initiatives.
Identify risks and opportunities to improve organizational performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team with a culture of accountability.
Partner with leaders to strengthen budgeting and financial decision-making across the association.
Oversee GAAP-compliant accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations.
Direct annual operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Oversee audits, tax filings, and safeguarding of organizational assets.
