Job summary

Ventaris Surgical, a San Carlos, CA-based medical device company, is seeking a senior finance leader to guide our strategic financial direction as we advance toward commercialization of a next-generation ureteroscopic system.

You will serve as the executive financial advisor to the CEO and Board, shape budgeting and forecasting, and build long-range models across clinical, regulatory, R&D, manufacturing, and commercial plans.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive finance experience in a venture-backed medical device or life sciences company.
• Led at least one significant institutional equity financing from strategy and investor positioning through diligence, negotiation, and close.
• Experience moving a development-stage company toward manufacturing and commercialization.
• Strong command of financial modeling, scenario planning, and investor-grade financial presentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team, translating financial data into strategic insight and actionable recommendations.
• Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including cash runway modeling and scenario planning.
• Develop and maintain a long-range financial model that supports decision-making across clinical development, operations, and commercialization.
• Partner with department leaders on financial planning, resource allocation, and cost management.
