Job summary

Health West is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, oversight, and sustainability for a nonprofit community health center in Pocatello, Idaho. You will report to the CEO and collaborate with the Executive Team to advance the mission through strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA preferred and CPA/CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience; 5+ years in healthcare.
• Grant management experience; nonprofit IRS/grant compliance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and long-term planning for Health West.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure GAAP, HRSA, and grant compliance across programs.
• Manage revenue cycle, contracts, and procurement activities.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
• Present updates to the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
