Job summary

Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer who will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, lead the accounting team, and shape the next growth phase across a project-based technology infrastructure business in Texas.

The CFO will drive cash flow management, financial planning, reporting, and controls, partnering with operations to improve margins, scale the company, and deliver actionable insights for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• 5+ years leading accounting or finance teams.
• Experience in construction, contracting, engineering, technology infrastructure, or another project-based industry.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and financial operations.
• Proven experience supporting business growth and operational scalability.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital strategies.
• Provide executive reporting and recommendations to improve company performance.
• Partner with operations and project teams to improve project margins and profitability.
• Develop internal controls and improve financial systems.
