Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial operations and act as a strategic partner to the executive team.

You will oversee accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and ERP evaluation, while mentoring staff and guiding mergers or acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and business planning.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and present financial statements and performance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations.
• Manage banking, lending, financing, and cash flow activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
• Lead audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting staff.
• Evaluate financial systems and ERP platforms to improve efficiency.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and special projects.
