Job summary

South Florida PBS seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to guide financial health and sustainability as it expands into immersive experiences and new ventures. Reporting to the President & CEO, the CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, audits, and compliance, while partnering with leadership and the boards to align financial strategy with mission goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active CPA designation required; MBA preferred.
• At least ten years of senior financial leadership in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
• Experience with boards, governance, and financial oversight.
• Experience with for-profit ventures, startups, or location-based experiences is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
• Manage investments, banking relationships, and risk management.
• Evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to diversify revenue.
• Communicate financial strategy effectively to the CEO, board, and stakeholders.
