Job summary

The Trustees, Boston, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy for a statewide conservation network, oversee accounting, FP&A, and data services, and drive growth across endowment, revenue, and land acquisitions. You’ll collaborate with the CEO and Board to shape the organization’s vision and ensure strong financial governance.

As a transformational finance leader, you will manage a broad team, oversee budgeting and compliance, and partner with development for fundraising

Qualifications

• 15+ years as a proven senior-level financial executive with growth-focused strategy.
• Nonprofit, public or NGO sector experience preferred.
• Proven leadership, strategic vision, and cross-functional collaboration.
• CPA or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CEO and Board to shape strategy and impact.
• Oversee budgeting, long-range plans, and reporting to executives and Board.
• Lead accounting, FP&A, and data services teams.
• Manage mergers, affiliations and land acquisitions for growth.
• Represent the organization to donors and stakeholders.
• Travel as needed to support priorities and events.
