Job summary

Multi-Unit Restaurant Group seeks an entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team in Greater Boston. This newly created role focuses on building strong financial systems, controls, and processes to support growth and an ongoing rebuild of operations.

The CFO will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic partnering with ownership and the operations team to drive profitability across multiple units. This is an on-site role with significant growth potential.

Qualifications

• Leadership of financial function for multi-unit restaurants.
• Experience building/rebuilding financial systems and controls.
• Strong cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a multi-unit operation.
• Analyze costs, profitability, and performance to drive efficiency and results.
• Develop and implement financial systems, processes, and procedures.
• Establish reporting, accountability, and financial controls across the organization.
• Partner with Operations and Culinary leadership to improve labor and food costs and profitability.
• Coordinate with bookkeeper and outside accounting/tax professionals for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and metrics development.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and growth opportunities.
• Help build infrastructure and processes to support growth.
• Serve as trusted financial partner to ownership and executive leadership.
