Job summary

NRECA seeks a strategic CFO to lead the finance function, overseeing a 64‑person team and a $290 million budget across the association, its subsidiaries, and affiliated entities.

The successful candidate will bring a proven record of senior financial leadership in complex organizations, drive ERP Workday integration, strengthen internal controls, and partner with the CEO and Board to set financial strategy. Salary range is $500,000–$615,000 with a 20% incentive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred along with additional training in finance related information systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic planning to enhance financial position.
• Oversee finance department across the enterprise including budgeting, forecasting, audits, and taxes.
• Drive innovation in a complex, regulated service environment.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP and tax laws.
• Collaborate on Strategic Sourcing and Procurement strategies for all operations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the organization.
