GECU in El Paso, TX is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, capital planning, ALM, liquidity, investments, profitability, pricing, treasury, and enterprise analytics. This role will oversee the Controller, BI, and Treasury functions while driving data-driven decision-making across the credit union.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in a credit union, bank, or complex financial institution; CUSO experience is a plus.
• Experience across consumer and commercial lending with understanding of pricing, credit quality, and balance sheet.
• Strong experience with financial strategy, ALM, liquidity, investments, capital planning, budgeting, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with CECL accounting standards and modeling.
• Experience leading multiple functions at the enterprise level.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, treasury management, and NCUA regulations.
• Experience with M&A or enterprise transformation preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and influencing skills.
• Executive presence to navigate complex decisions and priorities.
• Commitment to community and industry engagement and representing GECU.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the CEO, Board, and executive leadership on long-range strategy, financial performance, growth opportunities, and major business decisions.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, capital management, and scenario analysis.
• Oversee ALM, liquidity, investments, funding strategies, and treasury management.
• Drive profitability analysis and provide strategic guidance on pricing, products, and services.
• Provide executive oversight of Business Intelligence and analytics to strengthen data-driven decisions.
• Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
• Lead and develop direct reports.
• Chair the Asset/Liability Management Committee and participate on Loan Credit Committees.
• Represent GECU through community and industry engagement.
