Entergy is seeking a Central Procurement Specialist in Louisiana to manage material purchasing, supplier relations, and cost-effective sourcing aligned with Entergy policies. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders and legal/tax teams.

The position supports the enterprise with strategic sourcing, RFQs, and PO execution while ensuring timely delivery and cost optimization in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, accounting, engineering, legal or related field.
• Experience: Central Procurement Specialist I–III levels with specified years of related supply chain work.
• Preferred CPSM, APICS certifications.
• Experience with supplier contracting and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and ensure team safety first.
• Utilize tools and field visits to assure standards.
• Monitor suppliers to identify safety concerns.
• Perform storm duty assignments as needed.
• Plan, strategize, source and perform for each request.
• Process RFQs and coordinate specs, schedules and quantities.
• Resolve invoice mismatches (Over/Short/Damaged).
• Identify new and current suppliers for competitive offers.
• Coordinate with Legal and Tax on PO language deviations.
• Create and track POs, monitor status and expediting.
• Ensure Nuclear Safety Related suppliers are approved on QSL.
• Review material requests with Engineering for regulatory compliance.
• Deliver savings through bidding, negotiations or cost avoidance.
• Maintain PO documentation and favorable terms.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
