Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Minnesota is seeking a Category Manager to lead category initiatives, manage local assortment, and support supplier negotiations across assigned categories. You will collaborate with planners, sales, and finance, execute promotional plans, and drive pricing integrity while optimizing inventory and contributing to DSO reduction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in retail/wholesale or distribution, strong Excel skills, and proven ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution.
• Experience working within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories.
• Manage and promote local assortment to achieve company goals.
• Negotiate/secure supplier-funded customer deviated pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Coordinate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales team and customer service.
• Support inventory depletion and supplier negotiations to return products.
• Drive category initiatives, pricing integrity and promotional activities.
