Job summary

FIXX Energy, a Smyrna, TN-based battery producer, seeks a Category Manager to lead ESS material sourcing strategies, drive TCO improvements, and optimize supplier performance. You will partner with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Operations to ensure cost, quality, and delivery excellence supporting growth.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in strategic sourcing with battery materials experience, strong negotiation and ERP skills, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• 3+ years in direct management/people leadership.
• Experience sourcing battery materials or ESS components is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytics and ERP/procurement systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Category management & strategic sourcing for electrode materials and related commodities.
• Lead RFQ/RFI/RFP processes to identify best-value sourcing opportunities.
• Develop and implement TCO models and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Drive supplier performance, risk mitigation, and ESG compliance across categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Finance.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
