Job summary

NextDecade seeks a Category Manager for Corporate Services & Procurement Enablement to own category strategy and execute sourcing for Corporate Services, HR services, HSSE, Facilities, Travel, Marketing, and indirect consumables. Initially, the role focuses on P-Card implementation, preferred-supplier arrangements, catalogs, punchouts, and evolving supplier networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, and/or commercial contracting.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with ERP, Procure-to-Pay, sourcing and contract management systems.
• Knowledge of P-Card programs and supplier management.
• Energy or manufacturing sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for Corporate Services, HR services, HSSE, Facilities, Travel, Marketing, and indirect consumables.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, market and supplier analysis, negotiations, and executive-level award recommendations.
• Oversee contracting, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Tax, and other teams.
• Own P-Card implementation, adoption, SAP/AP integration, training, and change management.
• Establish P-Card governance, controls, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Route low-value, high-volume purchases to optimal channels (P-Card, catalog, punchout, etc.).
• Build stakeholder advisory relationships and drive adoption of new sourcing strategies and controls.
• Monitor supplier performance, renewals, and terminations; drive continuous improvement.
• Develop category playbooks, dashboards, and reporting to demonstrate value.
• Mentor team members and help define resource needs as the function grows.
