Job summary

NextDecade Corporation in Houston seeks a senior Category Manager for Corporate Services & Procurement Enablement to own category strategy and execution for HR services, facilities, and the P-Card program. This hands-on leadership role will drive supplier selection, contracting, and process improvements across the organization.

Initially, the focus will be on launching the P-Card rollout, preferred suppliers, catalogs, and efficient buying channels, while building a team as the program expands

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or commercial contracting.
• Ability to lead category strategies, sourcing programs, and buying channels.
• Strong experience in contracting, redlines, negotiation, and internal controls.
• Proven influence with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with indirect procurement, ERP, P-Card programs, and SAP/Procure-to-Pay.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for Corporate Services, HR services, facilities, and indirect spend.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, market analysis, evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate terms, manage risk, and coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and HSSE.
• Own P-Card implementation, integration with SAP/Accounts Payable, and training.
• Establish supplier performance metrics, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape demand and buying channels.
• Mentor team members and scale the procurement function as needed.
