Job summary

VCU Health System seeks an experienced Category Manager to manage contracting for supplies and purchased services. You will draft, review, and analyze contract documents, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

You will build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders and maintain contract documents in the repository. You will coordinate with leadership and internal reviewers, support value analyses, and administer Workday Sourcing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Certification in paralegal studies is preferred.
• 2+ years of sourcing and contracting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise and analyze contract documents.
• Perform contracting for supplies and purchased services following VCU Health System requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a current list of internal reviewers and stakeholders for category assignments.
• Assist in preparation of contracts and sourcing documents, including research and value analysis.
• Administer systems to track and manage documents in Workday Sourcing; provide updates to clients including senior leadership.
• Ensure contract documents are maintained in the contract repository per department leadership.
• Support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the health system.
• Serve as backup for Category Managers and perform other duties as needed.
