Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Senior Category Manager to join its Corporate Procurement team in Wilmington, DE. The role drives category strategies for critical raw materials, leads complex sourcing initiatives, and partners with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations and Finance to deliver cost-effective, sustainable supply.

The position requires 10+ years in chemical procurement, strong negotiation and contract mgmt skills, and proficiency with data analytics to optimize performance and manage supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience procuring or managing categories related to the Chemical industry with at least 7 years in Direct Materials.
• Strong expertise in Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain Management (Category Management, Vendor Management, SRM, Supply Risk, Regulatory compliance).
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive global category strategies for critical raw materials (e.g., fluorspar, sulfur, sulfuric acid).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate objectives into sourcing strategies.
• Identify and mitigate supply risk and manage related site risks.
• Lead cross-functional negotiations to achieve best total cost of ownership.
• Review and manage supplier contracts and compliance.
• Analyze spend data and market trends to optimize category performance.
• Conduct market research to identify potential products and suppliers.
• Develop and report on category performance, KPIs, and savings.
