Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Senior Category Manager to join Corporate Procurement at our Wilmington, DE headquarters. You will develop category strategies for critical raw materials, lead complex sourcing initiatives, manage supplier performance, and ensure cost-advantaged, sustainable supply across multiple business units.

As a strategic SME, you will partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to translate business objectives into actionable sourcing plans, leveraging

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience procuring or managing categories in the chemical industry with at least 7 years in Direct Materials.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts to meet business needs.
• Strategic leadership skills and ability to build relationships with site leadership and operations teams.
• Solid knowledge of market research, financial analysis, and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead global category strategies for critical raw materials.
• Identify and mitigate supply risk and supplier performance.
• Lead negotiations, bids, and contract management to achieve best total cost of ownership.
