Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Carrier Procurement Specialist in Lisle, IL to grow our carrier network, price and secure capacity, and manage carrier performance for DeSpir’s High Value verticals.

The role is hybrid and based in Lisle, with responsibilities spanning capacity sourcing, route guides, and onboarding. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in logistics/procurement, strong negotiation and communication, and a track record in contract drafting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in logistics and procurement.
• Experience drafting and negotiating logistics service contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or Operations.
• Knowledge of logistics services and logistics technology.
• Knowledge of procurement and purchasing procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical and project-management skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for travel.

Responsibilities

• Find dedicated capacity for key lanes and customers.
• Build route guides for important customer lanes.
• Strengthen carrier partnerships and expand the Qualified Carrier network.
• Qualify new carriers for DeSpir’s network.
• Streamline onboarding and qualification processes.
• Drive Qualified carrier TSA compliance and training
• Collaborate across departments to improve efficiency.
