Job summary

Touro College & University System is seeking a part-time Director of Career Development and Employer Relations for the Graduate School of Business, with a 20-hour work week. On-campus presence is required at least three days per week to maximize engagement with students, faculty, staff and employers.

You will oversee career programs, manage Handshake, and build internship and full-time opportunities by partnering with employers and alumni across Touro campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Strong networking, relationship-building, and partnership-development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Career Resource Center Canvas shell and post job and internship opportunities.
• Implement and administer Handshake for graduate business students.
• Advise students in-person, via Zoom, and by email on career development and employment opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with students about career resources, programs, events, internships and opportunities.
• Develop and expand internship and full-time employment opportunities by engaging employers, alumni and partners.
• Deliver career development programming, including workshops on résumés, cover letters, interviewing, networking and job searches.
• Represent the School at career fairs and employer-engagement events.
• Maintain records of student interactions and provide monthly reports on outcomes.
• Track internship and employment placements and report monthly on organizations where students are placed.
• Support the transition to the new School of Business and collaborate with stakeholders.
