Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Care Pathway & Patient Engagement Analyst to advance affordability through analytics, consumer insights, and care pathway optimization. You will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop analytic solutions that reduce costs and improve outcomes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with healthcare data, and the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics or healthcare.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claims and other analyses focused on care pathways, patient engagement, utilization patterns, provider performance, affordability opportunities, and healthcare consumer behavior.
• Support the development of analytic frameworks that identify where members are most likely to benefit from interventions.
• Develop predictive models, segmentation approaches, and targeting methodologies that support member outreach and engagement strategies.
• Execute analyses evaluating engagement strategies, outreach programs, and affordability initiatives using rigorous measurement approaches.
• Analyze longitudinal healthcare journeys to identify utilization patterns and care gaps.
• Apply episode-of-care methodologies and pathway analytics to understand drivers of medical cost and patient experience.
• Support financial-impact measurement by partnering with actuarial and finance teams to quantify opportunities and savings.
• Build analyses incorporating patient risk, social determinants of health, clinical complexity, and engagement propensity.
