Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is seeking a Care Pathway & Patient Engagement Analyst to advance affordability initiatives through analytics, consumer insights, and care pathway optimization. You will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree required; 5+ years in related field preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field accepted.
• Experience in healthcare analytics or related quantitative discipline is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claims and analyses on care pathways, patient engagement, utilization patterns, and affordability opportunities.
• Develop analytic frameworks to identify where members benefit from interventions and better site-of-care decisions.
• Build predictive models, segmentation, and targeting methods for outreach and engagement strategies.
• Evaluate engagement programs and affordability initiatives using rigorous measurement, including A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods.
• Analyze longitudinal healthcare journeys to identify utilization patterns and care gaps for intervention.
• Support financial impact measurement with actuarial and finance teams to quantify opportunities and savings.
• Create dashboards and decision-support tools spanning claims, EHR, and care management data.
