Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager for the Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice to deliver comprehensive capital projects and real estate solutions across the United States.

The role focuses on performing construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments, while building client relationships and applying best practices to drive value for clients and projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, capital projects consulting, or related fields.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases including planning, pre-construction services, sourcing and procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, and project closeout.
• Experience with contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private clients preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce well-organized research, audit work papers, and client-facing reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction and real estate process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for contractual and regulatory adherence.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork activities including data collection, site visits, interviews, and reporting; prepare client-ready reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project oversight, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
