Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Project Manager – Capital Projects in the United States to oversee the planning, design, and construction of travel plaza capital investments. You will coordinate with operations, finance, procurement, and brand partners to deliver projects on time and within budget across multiple sites.

The role requires strong ownership, organization, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining brand standards and minimizing downtime in active travel

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction, development, retail, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and external brand partners.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and change-management capabilities.
• Experience working in active operating environments with minimal business disruption.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent capital projects through full lifecycle (scope, design, budgeting, procurement, permitting, construction, turnover, closeout).
• Develop budgets, schedules, forecasts, milestone tracking, and risk reporting; communicate risks clearly.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and brand partners to drive projects from concept to opening.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, IT to align projects with operational needs and brand standards.
• Lead project meetings, site visits, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.
• Provide regular project reporting to senior stakeholders and ensure turnover/opening readiness.
