Job summary

The New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to lead scope development for line and capital improvement projects and to manage budget, funding requests, and reporting.

Responsibilities include policy input, consultant coordination, milestone reviews, and ensuring DOE needs are met with efficient use of funds. A strong background in city planning or related fields is expected.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time experience in city planning, urban development, engineering, architecture or related field.
• Weighted consideration may be given to candidates with a Masters degree or NY licensure.

Responsibilities

• Participates in recommending policy and procedure on scope development of line and capital improvement projects.
• Conducts scope development activities from preliminary design through budget approval for line projects.
• Participates in consultant selection and fee negotiation.
• Reviews milestone submissions and estimates; prepares and submits funding requests.
• Verifies capital funds eligibility and allocates funding; manages project data for reporting.
• Leads project teams and prepares ad-hoc and legislatively mandated reports.
