The NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to manage all capital construction and rehabilitation projects in assigned school districts. Your role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in construction management, leadership, and effective communication with various stakeholders. A Baccalaureate degree is required, with certifications such as NYS Professional Engineer being preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten years of full-time experience as a technical specialist in construction.
• Five years managing all phases of construction work.
• NYS Professional Engineer or NYS Registered Architect certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and successfully complete capital construction projects.
• Oversee the supervision of project personnel.
• Conduct monthly coordination meetings with DOE staff.
