Conagra Brands is seeking a strategic Capital Projects Procurement Lead to deliver total value by balancing cost, schedule, quality, and service across enterprise projects. You will manage sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationships while partnering with engineering, operations, and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure procurement governance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in procurement with construction/equipment experience, plus strong contract law

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of procurement experience.
• Experience in construction and equipment procurement.
• Knowledge of contract law and interpretation of statements of work, drawings, and specs.
• Experience negotiating large purchases and complex technical requirements.
• Experience managing competitive sourcing events and single-source procurements.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for capital projects.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance.
• Draft RFIs and RFPs and perform commercial/technical analyses.
• Identify innovative sourcing strategies to meet budget objectives.
• Lead supplier relationship management to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Research market dynamics and cost drivers to strengthen negotiations.
• Resolve supplier and stakeholder issues to support project delivery.
• Track supplier performance using KPIs and report results.
• Support continuity of services through proactive supplier management.
• Build collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal partners.
