Amazon.com Services LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Principal Accounting Manager to own accounting policy, controls, and reporting for AWS Supply Chain’s leasing and financing portfolio. You will partner across Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Tech to stand up new accounting frameworks and support system implementations.

The role requires strong analytics, ownership from Day One, and leadership of the month-close process for leasing and financing.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting or other finance-focused experience.
• 12+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field.

Responsabilidades

• Own the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for AWS Infrastructure and leasing financing transactions.
• Lead the implementation of ASC 842 accounting procedures for new lease structures.
• Drive the design of accounting processes in Amazon systems to support lease and financing origination, modification, and termination workflows.
• Develop and maintain lease and financing accounting models, including present value calculations and classification assessments.
• Partner with Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Finance, Business and Tech teams to evaluate new financing structures.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls (SOX-compliant) over leasing and financing processes.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos for complex lease/financing arrangements.
• Own monthly close activities for the leasing and financing portfolio.
• Lead cross-functional projects to stand up new leasing and financing programs.
• Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities.
