Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Principal Accounting Manager to own policy, controls and reporting for AWS Supply Chain leasing/financing. You will partner with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal and Tech to implement new frameworks and ensure ASC 842 compliance.

You will lead end-to-end accounting, SOX controls, monthly closes, and memos for complex lease structures, while driving process improvements across multiple regions and programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting experience.
• 12+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting lifecycle for AWS infrastructure and leasing financing.
• Lead ASC 842 lease accounting procedures for new lease structures.
• Design and execute accounting processes in systems for origination, modification, termination.
• Develop and maintain lease/financing models, PV calculations, classifications.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Finance, Business & Tech on new structures.
• Design, implement, and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over processes.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos for leases/financing structures.
• Own monthly close activities for leasing/financing portfolio.
• Lead cross-functional projects standing up new programs; coordinate requirements.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
