Job summary

Meta is seeking a Planning & Capacity Engineer to optimize server and network rack supply chain planning through software and mathematical modeling. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Infra, platform, finance, and engineering teams to balance capacity, cost, and risk while supporting billions in investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• MS/PhD preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Supply Chain Analytics.
• Strong coding skills in Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing optimization models and OR techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure supply chain planning for Meta across server and network rack components.
• Design improvements to software systems to improve planning efficiency and quality, and contribute code.
• Develop and analyze data and scenarios to guide executive decisions on infrastructure supply and spend.
• Contribute to end-to-end supply chain planning processes and data for optimized plans.
• Manage escalations and exceptions across the supply chain.
• Develop models driving supply flexibility to balance capacity, cost, and risk.
• Build models for simulations and optimization of demand projections and gap closure.
