Job summary

i2G Systems seeks a Capacity Planning Manager to lead labor demand forecasting, talent-mix strategy, and partnerships with trade schools and apprenticeships. You will own the demand signal, model scenarios, and align capacity with project plans.

Requires 5+ years in workforce planning, strong Excel modeling, and Power BI proficiency; building/operating partnerships in security tech is a plus. On-site in Michigan, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in workforce planning or related fields in a labor-driven services business.
• Experience converting backlog into a labor forecast and tracking changes.
• Strong quantitative modeling capability with advanced Excel.
• Experience partnering with operations leadership and talent acquisition.
• Track record of forecast discipline with stakeholders.
• Experience in low-voltage, electronic security, fire, life safety, or building systems.
• Familiarity with licensing/registration requirements in field trades.
• Experience building or managing trade school, technical college or apprenticeship partnerships.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 36-month labor demand forecast from budget, backlog and pipeline.
• Convert awards into staffing requirements (role, location, by-date).
• Track contract signature vs forecast; adjust dates and communicate changes.
• Distinguish growth demand from attrition backfill; manage hold/release.
• Reconcile headcount vs plan; explain variance in business terms.
• Forecast school program output and align with hiring plan.
• Plan capacity, not just headcount; account for licensing and ramp-up.
