The Elliot Health System, based in Manchester, NH, seeks a Buyer to support supply chain activities in Materials Management. The role emphasizes cost-effective acquisition, vendor communication, and coordination of requisitions and deliveries for multiple departments.

Under supervision, you’ll prepare requisitions, compare vendors, and ensure accurate pricing. Prior purchasing experience is preferred, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous purchasing experience preferred.
• Ability to liaison with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Researches and evaluates products/services based on quality, price, and serviceability.
• Prepares and prices requisitions for departments and analyzes acquisitions.
• Initiates repair calls and coordinates equipment rentals as needed.
• Maintains Materials Management System inventory and updates pricing files.
• Expedites purchase orders and coordinates delivery between vendors and end users.
• Acts as primary contact for special products/equipment pick-up with local vendors.
• Interviews sales reps, secures bids, selects supplies, and places orders.
• Verifies invoices with Finance; researches price changes before approval.
• Prepares and awards bids for capital equipment purchases.
