Job summary

Connection in Merrimack, NH is seeking an Associate Buyer to manage specific vendor lines, negotiate pricing, and resolve product packaging and receiving issues. You will also support new contract terms and strengthen vendor relationships while representing the company in internal problem resolution.

Responsibilities include procuring products at competitive pricing, maintaining SKUs, tracking inventory, expediting orders, and collaborating with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to utilize email, create a document, or manipulate data in an Excel Spreadsheet.
• Good communication skills, time management, analytical and problem-solving ability, and leadership potential.
• Self-directed and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Procure products for the company from multiple sources.
• Prepare purchase orders per policy and create SKUs to support sales and web activity.
• Negotiate lowest possible product cost and support contract terms and pricing.
• Expedite POs and update estimated arrival dates.
• Process price protection claims and adjust selling prices as needed.
• Review vendor promotions and take appropriate actions.
• Communicate cross-functionally with Sales, Technical Support, Returns, Credit, Accounts Payable, Finance, IS, Customer Service, Receiving, Supply Chain and Management.
• Respond to internal inquiries in PCC Call Tracker/Case Management system.
