Job summary

Ultralife Corporation is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing activities for materials, components, and services. You will issue POs, track prices, quantities, specs, and delivery terms while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, strong computer skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. Collaboration across production, engineering, and R&D will be routine to align sourcing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant purchasing experience
• Proficient with computer systems and MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, components, supplies and services; issue POs and manage price, quantity, specs, delivery dates and terms
• Review MRP messages and act in a timely manner
• Maintain supplier relationships; call suppliers, pull in requests, monitor order acknowledgements and delivery dates
• Manage inventory for items under responsibility; ensure correct part, quantity and timing
• Obtain and analyze supplier quotes
• Maintain open orders, pricing and delivery date accuracy
• Resolve receiving issues, missing documents and quality concerns
• Monitor supplier performance
• Coordinate with internal departments on purchasing, engineering, production and R&D requests
• Perform other duties as assigned
