Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Buyer for Stampings & Structural Assemblies. The role leads strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization, collaborating with Product Development, Manufacturing, and MP&L to secure the best partners and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive procurement, excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to drive cost reductions while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the Automotive industry.
• 3+ years of experience with manufactured commodities and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic sourcing and negotiations to deliver quality parts at best costs.
• Develop supplier strategies and lead supplier reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Support Quality initiatives by holding suppliers accountable and driving on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Production to optimize total cost and supply continuity.
• Lead ad hoc travel to supplier sites as needed.
